Chaplaincy and faith related activities, meetings and events take place in several locations across the University campus.
Buildings for worship
Here we list information about the places you can go for pray, devotions, meditation and anything else as part of your faith and beliefs.
Chaplaincy Centre
The Chaplaincy Centre is located at the Roundhouse - faith and reflection. Find it on Google Maps. Once you have set up access you can use your campus card from Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm to enter the building.
It hosts a multi-faith lounge area, a Christian oratory (prayer room) and Jewish Common Room for personal prayer and devotions, it is also the office base for university chaplains.
Islamic Prayer Room
The Islamic Prayer Room is located on the ground floor of the Thomas Telford building, find it on Google Maps. Once you have set up access you can use your campus card at any time to enter the building.
The Prayer Room is a dedicated space for Islamic prayer, it has wudu facilities and separate entrances are available.
Manor Park Faith Hub
The Manor Park Faith Hub is located in Block C in JB01-10 and is available for students who live on Manor Park, once you have set up access you can use your campus card at any time to enter the building.
It is a shared space available for prayers, meditation and devotions.
Roundhouse
The Roundhouse is near Cathedral Court, find it on Google Maps. Once you have set up access you can use your campus card from Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm to enter the building. You can request access to the Centre at the weekend by emailing the centre, but this must be done in advance.
The Centre exists as a quiet space for prayer, meditation, reflection and acts of religious worship and associated hospitality.
Setting up access to the buildings
To set up access, you will need to contact your faculty facilities administrator with the following details:
- Details of the building and room you need to access
- Your university number
- Your credential number (this number appears under the barcode on your campus card).
