Work It Out – conflict resolution service
What is conflict resolution?
Conflict resolution is a free and confidential service which offers you the opportunity to try to resolve any conflict between people who may work, study or live together.
It allows you to have difficult conversations in a safe environment where a trained impartial mediator will facilitate a discussion, to help both parties listen to each other. The mediator will not be able to solve the problem for you and will not tell you what to do. Instead, they will help you identify and discuss issues that need resolving, consider possible ways forward and reach a decision that feels fair to everyone involved.
What can conflict resolution help you with?
- If you are experiencing conflict within your housemates, either in halls or in a private house
- You are experiencing conflict with a friend or within a group of friends
- You believe that you are being bullied or harassed by an individual or group
- You feel unable to communicate effectively, and would like some support to deal with a conflict
- You have tried to resolve a conflict but now feel that you require support to work things out.
