Lakeside Coffee Shop serves delicious coffee and cakes, run by our students.
Opening hours
- Monday to Friday: 8am – 6pm (during semester) and 8am – 4pm (out of semester)
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Many of our facilities and services operate with reduced or altered opening times during semester breaks (such as Christmas and Easter), on Bank Holidays and during University closure periods.

What we offer
We offer a warm and friendly environment for you to relax and enjoy your food and drink.
Coffee and drinks
Serving barista-style, triple-certified (organic, Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade) coffee along with a wide variety of other hot and cold drinks.
Soup of the day
We offer fresh homemade soup daily in the coffee shop from 11:30am, why not join our soup mailing list to find out what is on offer for the week.
Food
All food in our coffee shop is handmade on-site by our restaurants chefs.
We have a wide selection of cakes, sandwiches and confectionery and offer a range of vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options.
