Wates House student bar and restaurant offers a great menu, a coffee and milkshake counter and a full bar with a fabulous range of cocktails including a great non-alcoholic selection, draught beer, cider and a range of bottled beers.

What we offer

Our American style bar & grill menu features burgers, hotdogs, loaded fries and lots more with vegan and vegetarian options available.. Whether you are eating with us or just drinking, Wates is a great place to relax, and enjoy a drink from our fully stocked bar. We work closely with local suppliers, including Firebird Brewery, delivering high quality Beers and Ales. Our trained staff offer a range of hand shaken classic and signature cocktails. Don’t miss out on our Happy Hour, Monday to Thursday 7pm-9pm and Friday 6pm-8pm and 10pm and 12pm.

Our all day American style bar and grill menu features burgers, hotdogs, loaded fries and lots more with many vegan and vegetarian options available. Our lunch menu is served from 12 noon - 3pm featuring warm sandwiches, salads and fish and chips!

The Green Room

Immerse yourself in the live sporting action with major events screened on our large screen across Sky Sports and BT Sports, in The Green Room, situated in Wates House. Available seven days a week. Be sure to look out for our events schedule for more info.
