Summer opportunities

Summer opportunities for summer 2025 will be available to view on our search tool from mid November. Here you will find more information about each opportunity.

Summer opportunities

There are four types of summer opportunities offered and assisted by the University of Surrey:

  • Summer programmes at universities abroad
  • Summer volunteering with Surrey partners abroad
  • Summer internships with Surrey partners abroad
  • Self-sourced volunteering/internships abroad.

Summer opportunities normally last between one to eight weeks and are a way to experience studying, volunteering or working abroad with students from all over the world. All summer opportunities are not credit bearing and are for experience only.

Listen to our podcast on summer programmes to get more of an insight.

Note: Final year undergraduate students are eligible to apply for a summer opportunity but ensure the dates of the summer opportunity do not clash with your graduation date.
