Module Evaluation Questionnaires (MEQs)

Overview

You will be contacted by email and asked to complete MEQs for each of your modules. MEQs are your chance to provide anonymous feedback about module design, assessment and feedback, and academic support.

Why are MEQs important?

MEQs are your opportunity to shape your learning and teaching. Your anonymous feedback:

  • Helps your module teachers reflect on the way they design and teach their modules.
  • Enables departments and schools to establish what’s working well when it comes to delivering modules and what needs improving.
  • Improves the way that all modules are designed, taught and delivered as module teaching staff can gain a better understanding of your learning experience, which guides academic developments in your department and helps shape the delivery of your course.

Results are reviewed at Boards of Studies and Staff-Student Liaison Committees.

Eligibility

All students (excluding those on placement or taking dissertation modules).

Survey dates

Normally at the end of each semester. They are released on Surrey Self-Service at 12.01am on the day of launch, and you will be emailed on the same day to tell you that they are ready to complete.

You will also be given time to complete them in class at the end of your module.

Complete the survey

When MEQs for your modules are available login to Surrey Self-Service and go to the “modules” tab, followed by “module evaluation." In exceptional circumstances, you can also request printed or emailed copies of MEQs by emailing meq@surrey.ac.uk.

See our MEQ FAQs for further information.

Student Life Pulse

Eligibility

All students.
