Moving into accommodation

Every year, we welcome thousands of new students to our campus from around the world. It'll be one of your first experience of life at Surrey, so we are here to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Complete your accommodation e-induction
Before you move in, you must ensure you have completed your accommodation e-induction, where you will find out your address.
Check your email inbox to find out when the e-induction goes live - it will be sent to the email address you used when submitting an application.
Collecting your key
Please ensure you bring a form photo ID with you when you collect your key, for example, a valid passport, a photo driving licence or your student card if you have it.
Moving into Stag Hill
This includes Battersea, Cathedral, Millennium House, International House, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford and University Courts.
Once you have completed your e-induction, you will be asked to book an arrival slot for either 13 or 14 September.
When you arrive, you will be directed to our main car park. You will then be directed to our Austin Pearce building where you will be able to collect the keys for your room. Please make sure you have your arrival letter and ID ready for your key collection.
Once you have your keys, you will receive a hanger that you will need to hang from the mirror in your car. This hanger will allow the team to direct you to your accommodation so that you can unload your car closer to your room. Once you have unloaded your car, you will need to move it back to the main car park.

Moving in FAQs
Need more help?
MySurrey Help has a range of useful articles for students living in University accommodation.
Moving into non-University of Surrey halls
If you are going to be living in halls or housing that is not managed by the University, for example private housing in the local area, Scape, Bankside etc, then there will be different processes for you to follow.
You will be informed about these processes by the respective providers or landlord, usually via the same email address which you used to apply for the property/room.
