Students' Union
All students are automatically part of the University of Surrey Students' Union (USSU) so take a look at all the services on offer.
About us
All University of Surrey students are a member of the Students' Union by default, so you don't have to worry about membership fees.
The University of Surrey Students' Union (USSU) is not-for-profit charity, independent from the University that represents all University of Surrey students on a local and national level.
Your zones
The Union is split into four zones, each led by a full-time officer who is a Vice-President (VP) and Trustee of the Union:
- Voice - student opinion on issues that have an impact on student life
- Activity - get involved with sports clubs, societies and events
- Support - assists students with a range of academic, health and wellbeing needs
- Community - social and community activities both on campus and within Guildford.
The President's advice to all students:
"Get involved with as much as you can: join that club or society, come along on a trip, become a Course Rep, volunteer to be a Freshers Angel, get a part-time job, or run in Surrey Decides. It's these opportunities that will help you make the most of your time here. It's through these activities that you can find new skills and meet friends for life!"
