Surrey Stage
Have you got a talent that you want to share with our campus community?
Our Surrey Stage spot on campus provides you with the perfect stage to showcase your talent, and it’s available for use by all students and staff.
Your talent might be singing, dancing or comedy. Or perhaps juggling, acting or reciting poetry is more your thing. Let's not forget our magicians and landscape painters.
Whatever your talent, you’ll be bringing our community together - staff and students, undergraduates and postgraduates, partners and visitors - through your creativity and entertainment, and you will also be inspiring others to try new things and learn new skills.
Surrey Stage offers you a great opportunity to create content for your social media channels or portfolio and share your talents with the world.
Where can I find the Surrey Stage on campus?
You will find the Surrey Stage spot on Stag Hill campus in the Amphitheatre.
You won’t be able to miss it – you will find the spot marked with a vibrant floor decoration.

FAQs
How do I perform on the Surrey Stage?
Students and staff are welcome to perform without power or amplification at any time, except during the exam period. If you require power or amplification, you must book your performance by emailing the Student Communications team (mysurrey@surrey.ac.uk).
Using microphones, speakers, and accompanying music
Performers are not permitted to amplify their performances during certain times of the day as our University buildings are used by students to undertake their studies, with many living on site in residential accommodation. Our staff are also working on campus. However, when you contact the Student Communications team to book your performance, they will provide you with suitable days and times to perform.
Can I receive money for my performance?
Surrey Stage is an opportunity to share your skills with the community. If someone enjoys your performance and wishes to tip you, this is completely up to that individual. Receiving tips is acceptable, but actively soliciting contributions is not permitted.
Are there any restrictions?
