My AI Surrey

My AI Surrey is a University-wide platform giving you access to AI tools like ChatGPT in a secure environment so you don’t have to worry about your information going anywhere it shouldn’t. 

With AI being a rapidly evolving concept, My AI Surrey will be continually improved as new features, tools and capabilities develop. 

Getting started on My AI Surrey

  1. Visit My AI Surrey
  2. Sign in with your Surrey login
  3. Accept the terms
  4. Hit the ‘?’ button (bottom-right) for a quick tour

 

Lumi 

Lumi is an AI agent that works like a chatbot to support you with your learning by drawing information from your module content.

What can Lumi do? 

Here are a few examples of what you could ask Lumi for 

  • Short, summarised explanations of concepts, with direct links to the relevant course materials for more detail 
  • Revision materials including flashcards or quizzes 
  • Dates of upcoming assessments and exams.

How to use Lumi 

Lumi will automatically appear at the bottom right of your SurreyLearn pages. Just click the blue icon and a small window will open where you can ask your questions.
