Information on opening hours and visiting the Library.

Opening hours

Between 1 August – 5 September 2025 we are open from 8:30am to midnight Monday-Friday and 8am – midnight at weekends.

From 6 September we are open daily from 8am to midnight, with 24-hour access during the core revision and exam periods.

You can also access the Library online and get academic skills support online.

You will need your campus card to borrow anything from the Library.

Many of our facilities and services operate with reduced or altered opening times during semester breaks (such as Christmas and Easter), on Bank Holidays and during University closure periods.

How to find the library

The Library is located in the George Edwards Building on the Stag Hill campus.

Group study rooms

Group study rooms and double-screen computers on level 5 can be booked for a maximum of two hours per day by Surrey students and staff. We also have a family study room.
