Opening hours
The Library is open from 8am to midnight until 30 November.
From Monday 1 December 2025, the Library will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, during semester weeks, and from 8am to midnight during Winter and Summer vacation periods.
From Monday 8 December – Wednesday 24 December the Library will be open from 8am to midnight, seven days a week.
The Library will be closed on 25 and 26 December.
On Saturday 27 December & Sunday 28 December the Library will be open from 8am to midnight.
We will be open 24 hours from 29 December.
You can also access the Library online and get academic skills support online.
You will need your campus card to borrow anything from the Library.
Many of our facilities and services operate with reduced or altered opening times during semester breaks (such as Christmas and Easter), on Bank Holidays and during University closure periods.

How to find the library
The Library is located in the George Edwards Building on the Stag Hill campus.
Group study rooms
Group study rooms and double-screen computers on level 5 can be booked for a maximum of two hours per day by Surrey students and staff. We also have a family study room.
