University Mental Health Day takes place on Thursday 13 March. It’s a reminder that your mental wellbeing matters just as much as your studies. Take a break, reach out for support, and check in with friends. You’re not alone - help is available, and it’s okay to ask for it.
Join us for #UniMentalHealthDay - take part in one of our workshops, join a mindful walk around campus or head to MySurrey Hive to add your worry to the Worry Monster Jar.
Find out more about our mental wellbeing support services resources to help you manage stress, anxiety and workload pressures. Start conversations, check in with those around you and prioritise yourself today.
Wellbeing and welfare is at the heart of our Surrey community, and we're proud to provide a number of services to support our students. From professional help to peer-led support, we are here to help you start - or continue - meaningful conversations about wellbeing.

It’s perfectly normal to go through ups and downs with our wellbeing and mental health, and the first step to feeling better is often talking it through with someone.
Don't be afraid to seek support - mental health and wellbeing support is available throughout the year.
There are a number of safe places you can go and helplines you can call or text if you are experiencing a mental health crisis. In an emergency, call Campus Safety on 01483 683333 if you or someone you know needs immediate help on campus. If you are off campus call 999 for the emergency services.
Health Assured is a Student Assistance Programme designed to help you deal with personal or student-related problems. The problems could be affecting your home life, education, health, and general wellbeing.
Our Let’s Talk site signposts you to a wealth of wellbeing support services and resources, but you can also find stories and experiences shared by other members of our community in the hope that it will encourage others to talk about the issues they are facing, embrace their uniqueness, and improve their own physical and mental wellbeing.
