Health Sciences CPD part-time programmes preparation

Welcome to the Scool of Health Sciences postgraduate part-time programmes welcome information. Our programmes run within the School of Health Sciences based at the Kate Granger Building. We look forward to welcoming you in September.

Our postgraduate programmes each have their own focus but all build on the foundation of experience bought to the classroom by you, our students, currently working in multidisciplinary environments in healthcare across the UK. Our programmes equip you to work in a modern healthcare system with knowledge and skills to develop yourself and your careers.

Each programme is managed by a Programme Director and overseen by our Lead for Postgraduate Programmes, Mark Stobbart. Our teaching staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of settings across the health and academic sectors to support your learning.

Our teaching optimises a hybrid approach utilising in person teaching across both the Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses, alongside our online teaching provisions. Many of your in-person lessons will be at the Kate Granger Building, which is also home to our state of the art simulation suite. You can find further information in our programme handbooks.

Top tips

If you haven't already, make contact with your Programme Director to ensure you have a plan for the years ahead and have been made aware of all the available support.

Get yourself a year planner. Your programme will require planning around your study, work and life commitments so you will need good time management.

Even once you are enrolled on our programmes you will still need to apply for each module. This is done by completing the module application form, which is available on each module webpage, and emailing this to postreg_admin@surrey.ac.uk. Individual module webpages can be accessed at https://www.surrey.ac.uk/school-health-sciences/professional-development/modules You need to apply for modules at least six weeks prior to the module start date, so for Autumn modules, this may mean you need to submit the module applications by mid-august.

If you are unsure, please contact your Programme Director.

Some of you may be returning to education after a significant break as you look to take the next steps in your careers. We have a range of support services available to students including ou Academic Skills & Development team and Disability & Neurodiversity team.
