Learn about how you can use active listening to support those around you, as part of World Mental Health Day
As part of World Mental Health Day , our Student Success and EDI Officer Liam will be offering free Active Listening Training to members of Future Leaders and the Student Equality Network. This year's theme is about accessing support in catastrophes and emergencies. Through this training, you can learn that active training can be used both in daily conversation, and moments of crisis.
Do you ever want to be there for someone, but struggle to find the ‘right’ words to say? Do you want to learn how to support those around you? Are you interested in mental health, and the small changes we can make to improve our communication? Active listening is the perfect tool to improve these skills, and this informal training is delivered by someone with extensive experience with high-risk support services.
This training will specifically focus on how to use active listening to support people from diverse backgrounds, including how to support people with different lived experiences. Entry is free.
