Online stalking, sometimes called cyberstalking, involves persistent unwanted contact or monitoring through digital platforms — such as social media, email, gaming sites, or messaging apps.

Steps you can take

  • Do not engage with the person online. Save all evidence (messages, usernames, screenshots)

  • Tighten your privacy settings on all platforms. Limit what you share about your location or routine

  • Block and report the account through the platform’s safety tools

  • Alternatively, you can use the online Report + Support platform, where you may choose to report anonymously

  • If you receive threats or feel unsafe, contact the Police by calling 999 or contact Campus Safety immediately
