If you have been awarded a lower exit award, this is because you have not achieved enough credits to receive your full intended award, but you have still achieved sufficient credits for a lower award, for example, a PG Cert or a Diploma. This may be because some assessments have been failed and there are no more opportunities for reassessment, or if you have left your programme early.
You can view the full range of undergraduate and postgraduate university awards and credit values needed for each by referring to the “University awards and credits” table within our A1: Regulations for taught programmes (page 2-3). The details of your lower exit award will also appear on your HEAR transcript.
