Post and deliveries

We have Amazon lockers across our campuses which are available at all hours of the day and night, as well as a Post Office for all your general post needs.

Amazon Lockers

Amazon Locker offers daily deliveries, seven days a week - that's 24 hours a day on campus for you to collect or return your Amazon goods. We have lockers scattered across our campuses so you can collect or return your Amazon order at any time and at any locker that's convenient for you.

Stag Hill campus

Parcels and recorded mail

Parcels and recorded mail are processed into our in-house tracking system. We track every item that arrives, ensuring your items are kept safe and secure. 

Once your item has been processed, it is placed onto shelves in central distribution and is ready for collection. 

Once you receive notification from your courier that your item has been delivered, please allow 24 hours before heading to central distribution to collect. We ask that you allow 24 hours, as the processing of post can take some time due to the volumes we receive daily. We process post for the whole of the University. We do expect delays in processing times during busy periods such as arrivals, Black Friday, Christmas and Easter. We will send email bulletins if we are experiencing delays. 

You will need to bring your student card or any photographic identification with you to collect your items from Central distribution. Please note: an image of an ID on mobile phone will not be accepted as ID. You must have your physical ID with you to collect.  Acceptable forms of ID: Student Card, Passport, Driving License and BRPs.

Large/oversized items

Central distribution will lend you a trolley to move your large items to your accommodation.

Fresh food

You can arrange to have food parcels delivered, but you will need to pick them up immediately as there are no fridges onsite. Once you receive notification from the delivery courier your food item has been delivered, please allow one hour before heading to Central Distribution to collect. Central Distribution will send you an email once the item is ready for collection. Please bring your student ID to collect. Central Distribution is open for collections Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm. 

Letters and bank cards

All letters are sorted, checked and placed into the pigeon holes within Central Distribution Reception. The boxes are sorted by the first letter of your surname. All letters are kept for one month from the day they are received. After this period all letters are returned to sender. We recommend checking the pigeon holes once a week. 

Bank cards – bank cards are sorted, checked, and held behind the counter in Central Distribution. If you are expecting a bank cards please enquire at central distribution reception. You will need ID to collect your bank card.

Addressing your mail – IMPORTANT 

All mail should be addressed with your full name, room number, flat number, house name, court name and the relevant postcode as below. Items that do not have a full name and address may be returned to sender.

Students living on Stag Hill can collect all parcels and letters from Central Distribution.

Central Distribution is open Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm. We are closed at the weekends and University closure days.

Manor Park

Parcels and recorded mail

Parcels and recorded mail are initially all delivered to central distribution on main campus and then are transported to Manor Park and processed into our in-house locker system hosted by Parcel Pending. 

Your item will be placed into a locker, and once the door has been closed an email will be sent to you with a ‘pick up code’ and barcode. The email will include the location, either INDOOR or OUTDOOR. Using your pick up you can then collect your item. Scan your email pick up code on the main screen of the locker and the door will open.

Please collect your items from the lockers as soon as you are able. We receive high numbers of parcels for Manor Park and delays are possible when we are awaiting availability of lockers.

We do expect delays during busy periods such as arrival periods, Black Friday, Christmas and Easter.

Large/oversized items 

If you have an item that is large and won’t fit into the lockers this will be placed in the post room and you will receive and email when the item is ready for collection. Manor Park post room is located next to the hive in the reception area. Manor Park post room hours vary throughout the year, please refer to your email for current opening hours.

Fresh food 

You can arrange to have food parcels delivered. They will be placed into lockers for your collection. We prioritise processing food parcels and aim to have them placed into a locker within two hours of delivery to Central Distribution. We will send you an email with the location details. If the item is too large to fit inside a locker, we will notify you by email and the item can be collected from the Manor Park Post room.

General information

Manor Park Post room hours vary due to demand. The current hours will be displayed on the front door and on any email you receive from the post room. We are closed at the weekends and University closure days. If you have any enquiries regarding post please email Manorparkpost@surrey.ac.uk or come and visit us and speak to the team. 

Hazel Farm

All mail should be addressed with your full name, room number, house number, road name, Worplesdon, Guildford, and the relevant postcode for your road:

All mail items are delivered directly to Hazel Farm halls.

Bellerby Court

All mail should have your full name, room, flat number, house name and Rosalind Franklin Close, Guildford GU2 7XR. Mail and parcels are delivered directly to your house.

Bellerby Court (BE)

  • Breakdown: court – house / level – room
  • Example room allocation: BE – FH / 1N – 1
  • Address: Bellerby Court – Frances Harrison House / level 1 – room 1.

Post Office

Our on-site Post Office, offering a range of services and products to staff and students, is located on the ground floor of the Learning Resource Centre within the Co-op shop.

For general postal services such as travel insurance, foreign currency, National Express tickets and Parcelforce Express services, the nearest Post Office is at WH Smith on Guildford High Street.

General information

Please do not use the University postcode (GU2 7XH) for personal mail. Please note that we’re not able to accept delivery of perishable goods (such as fruit or vegetables).

No mail or parcels are delivered to the University on weekends, public holidays and University closure days. On these days you can arrange to collect or return goods using Amazon lockers.

The University only accepts mail for current residents. After you leave University accommodation, any uncollected mail will be returned to sender (where possible) by Royal Mail. When leaving university accommodation, you can set up a mail redirection to a new address.
