RHS Wisley Careers Taster Visit
Open to all students, the taster day at RHS Wisley will showcase the exciting opportunities available in the horticultural sector, helping students explore how a green career could grow their future.
The format of day will include:
Hands-on learning: Students participate in a practical horticultural task, immersing themselves in a typical job from our working environment
Behind-the-scenes tours: Discover an RHS garden and explore the variety of work that goes on
Employer engagement: Meet horticulture professionals to learn about the wide range of career pathways, ranging from plant conservation and scientific research to landscape design and food growing
Off Campus Event
You will need to be available to go to RHS Wisley for the entire time of the event
Transport by coach from University of Surrey to Wisley and back again will be provided
It will be hosted by the Wisley Horticultural Engagement Officer (New Shoots).
You will need to wear appropriate clothing for being outside in a garden in winter. Warm coats and boots will be needed and waterproofs if it is raining.
Cafes are on site if you want to purchase lunch, or take a packed lunch with you
