Every year at least three assemblies take place, providing staff and students with a chance to hear about the University’s sustainability journey to date, and also discuss ideas for improvement.
During the recent assembly, staff and students shared their thoughts on how to integrate sustainability into all aspects of university life – from how we operate as an organisation, to how we teach sustainability.
Over 40 suggestions were submitted during the event, which will now be reviewed by the Sustainability Team to ensure the University meets its ambitious aims of becoming a leading sustainable institution.
All staff and students have access to recordings of the session (part 1 and part 2) and are invited to share their thoughts by filling in an online form to join the conversation on sustainability at the University.

Our Sustainability Assemblies are just one way we’re embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals into everything we do. These events aim to encourage staff and students to share their ideas and take climate action whilst at the University (Sustainable Development Goals 13 – climate action).
