Balancing university life can be challenging, so it’s essential to prioritise your wellbeing to help you succeed both academically and personally.
Friday 10 October is World Mental Health Day, and all week we’ve got events to support your wellbeing, from wellbeing workshops to Dog Therapy and gardening. Check out our wellbeing events taking place this week and throughout the semester.
We are committed to improving mental health support and promoting a culture of wellbeing at Surrey. Over the past year, we have worked alongside other UK universities to collaborate, share practice and drive cultural change in the way we approach mental health as part of our progress towards the Student Minds' University Mental Health Charter (UMHC). Our Let's Talk site is your space for wellbeing support and connection. Wellbeing and welfare is at the heart of our Surrey community, and we're proud to provide a number of services to support our students. From professional help to peer-led support, we are here to help you start - or continue - meaningful conversations about wellbeing.
Samantha Buss, VP Support at your Students’ Union, explains why Let’s Talk is so important.
