A message from our new President & Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Jarvis

I’m Professor Stephen Jarvis and it’s a great pleasure to introduce myself as the new President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Surrey.

Our university is well-known for its inclusive community, and I am extremely grateful for the very warm welcome that I have received from everyone since arriving.

Surrey also has a strong reputation for academic excellence and for innovation, and I look forward to building on this and these achievements in the years to come.

We have ambitious plans to be among the very best universities in the world, so I look forward to meeting as many students, staff, alumni and partners as possible during my first semester to hear your views, your experiences and, indeed, your aspirations.

For now, I offer you my very best wishes for the academic year ahead and, of course, I look forward to working together and meeting as many of you as possible.
