Students are allowed to bring their own televisions to their University accommodation. However, if you own or operate a television in your room you must have your own TV licence.
TV licensing is not included in your University accommodation rent. If you want to watch live television, or anything on BBC iPlayer, in your room, you will need to purchase your own TV licence. Find out more about TV licences for student halls.
You are not permitted to mount a TV on the walls of your room or attach aerials or satellite dishes internally or externally to any residence buildings.
