The University’s Annual Sustainability Report shows continued progress in reducing carbon emissions and embedding sustainability across Surrey.

The report showcases the University’s plans that are now in place to support sustainability improvements across several key areas including net zero carbon, procurement, water, biodiversity, catering, waste, scope 3 emissions and climate resilience.
Martin Wiles, Head of Sustainability, said: ‘Sustainability delivery plans have been developed alongside relevant teams to support sustainable progress at the University. I’d like to thank all teams involved for the work they are already doing to embed these plans – together we are making positive, sustainable change.’
Highlights of the report include steps towards renewable energy including the University’s first major solar power installation at Surrey Sports Park as well as increased engagement with sustainabilitiy programmes including the Sustainability Mark.
