The University of Surrey is proud of its four-year partnership with Phyllis Tuckwell. The University has Phyllis Tuckwell charity bins located across campus for staff and students to donate unwanted items. Items collected have so far raised £32,000 for the local charity.
This is the second time Phyllis Tuckwell has hosted a pop-up shop on campus! Money raised from the shop will go straight back into supporting the charity’s work in providing palliative and end-of-life care for adults living with terminal illness.
Our work with the Phyllis Tuckwell is a part of the University’s ambition to embed the UN Sustainable Development Goals into everything we do. Our partnership and support for the charity exemplifies SDG 17 ‘Partnership for the Goals’. The pop-up shop encourages staff and students to donate unwanted items and shop second-hand, tackling SDG12 ‘Responsible Consumption and Production’.
