Symplicity Access is the University’s system for requesting and reviewing your reasonable adjustments for exams, teaching, parking, and accommodation.

The system allows you to upload and download evidence for your adjustments and view what adjustments have already been put in place for you.
You can complete the process entirely online through the portal, but support is available from the Disability and Neuroinclusion team if you'd prefer to talk things through.
If you have previously had adjustments agreed to (either over the summer via our registration form or in previous years of study at Surrey), these remain in place and you do not need to reapply. You can check the adjustments in place by following the guides and training found when you login.
If you have not previously had adjustments agreed to, or if you need to request further support, you can now do so by logging into the portal. Symplicity Access is linked to your Surrey email address so as long as you have access to this, logging in is easy.
When you log into Symplicity, you will see links to guidance videos and PDF documents, guiding you through the system in easy-to-follow chunks.
If you have already completed this form and are waiting for a response, thank you for your patience. We are currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries and are processing registration forms in the order they are received. If you have already submitted the form, please do not complete it again.
What if I am having difficulties accessing or navigating the system, or submitting my request?
Email disability@surrey.ac.uk. A member of the D&N Development team will be in touch and may be able to resolve the issue via email.
They can also offer 1:1 virtual and in-person appointments to help solve technical issues such as difficulty logging in, difficulties uploading evidence, or if you have a question around which form you need to complete.
What information does my department see?
All of the University teaching staff attached to your modules, as well as your personal tutor, Programme Director, and the Departmental Disability Liaison will get access to all your exam and learning adjustments within 24 hours of them being agreed to.
Details of any accommodation or parking requests are not shared with your department.
Any correspondence, notes, evidence, or other uploaded documents are not shared with your department. These are only viewable to the D&N team.
What is the deadline to get adjustments in place for the Semester 1 January 2027 exams?
Tuesday 24 November at 11.59pm (GMT).
