Introducing the Shuttle Bus Service Between Manor Park and Stag Hill

We are trialling a free shuttle bus service between the Manor Park car park and Stag Hill campus from Tuesday 10 November 2026, exclusively for car park permit holders.

Published:

The service provides a convenient way to travel between the two campuses, whether you're heading to lectures, seminars, the Library or other University activities at Stag Hill.

Everyone who uses the service will receive one free hot drink voucher per day via the Surrey Perks loyalty app when boarding at Manor Park Car Park.

How will the shuttle service work?

The service will operate as follows:

  • Operating days and times: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 9am - 12pm and 3 - 6pm.
  • Frequency: Approximately every 15 minutes.
  • Operating period: Between Tuesday 10 November - Thursdays 3 December 2026. The trial period may be subject to change, and users will be notified of any changes, including if the service ends earlier than planned due to low usage.
  • Route: Between Manor Park Car Park and the Austin Pearce bus stop on Stag Hill campus, and back.
  • Cost: Free for all students holding a valid and active University parking permit and show their University Campus Card when boarding.

A few things to remember

  • You must hold a valid and active University parking permit to use the shuttle service.
  • Please show your Campus Card when boarding.
  • The £2 daily parking charge at Manor Park will continue to apply.

How to redeem your complimentary drink

  1. When you board the bus, the driver will give you a voucher with a code.
  2. Open the Surrey Perks app and select Promo Code.
  3. Enter the code on the voucher.
  4. Visit Hillside Coffee, Stageside Coffee or The Hideout and show your Surrey Perks voucher to the barista when ordering your drink.
  5. The barista will ask you to hand the voucher card back.

Why are we offering the service?

  • To help us make better use of existing parking facilities across our campuses.
  • To relieve the pressure on our Stag Hill car parks, particularly during upcoming works to install new electric vehicle charging facilities which will temporarily reduce capacity by at least 20 spaces.
  • To provide you with an easy, free of charge way to travel between Manor Park and Stag Hill.

We hope this service will make travelling between our campuses a little easier and provide another convenient option for our University community.
