British Heart Foundation red bins

You may have seen their big red bins across campus - why not donate your unwanted items to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to help save the planet, fund research and save lives?

Since the start of the partnership with the British Heart Foundation 12 years ago, items donated by the University have raised nearly £1m - supporting life changing research into heart and circulatory diseases.

How to donate in 3 easy steps

  1. Round up your unwanted belongings. This could include clothes, shoes, accessories, books, CDs, DVDs, small electrical items and home and kitchenware. But please don't donate duvets, pillows, broken or dirty items, knives, hangers, food, bikes or helmets.
  2. Items should be bagged before putting them into a bin – any bag can be used but you can also collect a free bag from MySurrey Hive Stag Hill and Manor Park or Central Distribution.
  3. Take your bags to one of the BHF-branded donation points listed below.
