Get involved with sustainable events and activities throughout this week!

Sustainable Surrey has joined forces with the Students’ Union and Institute for Sustainability to bring back Sustainability Week, this time featuring local organisations Zero Carbon Guildford, Phyllis Tuckwell and Sustain Film Festival!

 

All staff and students are invited to get involved with activities throughout this week. Highlights include:

  • Sustainability Assembly: sustainable procurement (Monday 31 March, 1pm – 3pm | 05 AC 03) – Find out more about the University’s new sustainable procurement plan, and tangible actions you can take to support. Book your free ticket.
  • Speaker Series: Sustainable fashion and how we can make a difference (Tuesday 1 April, 11am - 12pm | 04 AC 03) – Hear from CloSh app founder Isobel Wiles on all the different ways fashion can be more sustainable. Sign up.
  • Phyllis Tuckwell pop-up shop (Thursday 3 April, 10am – 4pm | Rubix) – Grab a second-hand bargain at Phyllis Tuckwell's first shop at the University!
  • Sustain Film Screening (Friday 4 April, 7pm - 11pm | Wates House) – Sustain presents an international collection of story-driven film and animations, delivering a taste of their upcoming festival this Summer. Get your ticket

Sustainability Week is just one way the University is embedding the UN sustainable development goals into everything it does. The activities held during Sustainability Week will cover all 17 SDGs, including SDG 13 - climate action.
