Our Student Network Champions have been central to this work, helping to deliver activities that bring students together, build confidence and showcase the breadth of support available at Surrey.
The month kicked off with commuter-focused Speed Friending, an energising session designed to help students expand their networks, meet new people and feel more connected to campus life. This was followed by our brightly lit Glow Walk, supported by Team Surrey, which encouraged students to get active, engage with Surrey Moves and explore the campus in a new way whilst taking time out for wellbeing.
We also delivered the second session of our core offer, led by the Student Success and EDI team. This was supported by a number of services including The Money Team, Thrivewell, and Academic Skills. This session introduced students to essential support pathways, helping them feel more confident navigating university life and more aware of where to access help when needed.
Together, these events represent the start of a sustainable, collaborative model of delivery - bringing teams across the University together to enhance student experience and foster a genuine sense of community and belonging for our Future Leaders.
