Grief Café

We are committed to building a supportive environment where people can talk openly about grief and loss.

Event details

Where

Wey Flat Pastoral Care Centre, Stag Hill Campus.

Located next to University Hall and on top of the amphitheatre next to the Hive.

When

Our ThriveWell team and Religious Life and Belief team are running a Grief Café – a safe, confidential space for you to:

  • Share experiences of grief and bereavement
  • Explore feelings around loss in a supportive setting
  • Develop a better understanding of the grieving process

Grief is a natural response to loss. By coming together, we aim to break the stigma surrounding this deeply personal experience and emphasise that grief is a universal, and often challenging part of being human. You are welcome whether your loss is recent or long ago, clear or complicated, and whether you wish to talk or simply listen.

When does the Grief Café run?

  • Start date: Monday 19 October
  • When: Every other Monday, 12pm to 1pm (Semester time only)
  • Location: Wey Flat Pastoral Care Centre, Stag Hill Campus. Located next to University Hall and on top of the amphitheatre next to the Hive.

We hope to see as many people there as possible, and you are welcome to attend regularly or just drop in when you feel able.
