If you do not pass one module (worth 15 credits) at your current level and you are permitted a re-assessment opportunity, or you have one module (worth 15 credits) deferred due to approved extenuating circumstances, you will have a further opportunity to attempt the outstanding assessment for it in the next academic year alongside your next level of modules. This module is termed a trailed module. You will take the outstanding assessment(s) for one 15-credit module only in the relevant semester. You won't attend classes for the module that you are trailing.
The exception to this is foundation year students, who are not permitted to carry over any failed modules into the next year of their programme.
Non-foundation year students can trail one module (worth 15 credits) into the next academic year alongside your new modules if you have further attempts outstanding. KA-01272 100 My course Modules options Published
