The University’s last Sustainability Assembly of the academic year took place on Tuesday 28 April 2026.
Every year three assemblies take place, providing staff and students with a chance to hear about the University’s sustainability journey and discuss ideas for improvement.
During the recent assembly, staff and students shared their thoughts on the development of a university-wide sustainability campaign. The campaign will aim to raise the profile of sustainability at the University, and empower the University community to take positive sustainable actions.
Over 103 comments and suggestions were submitted during the event, which will now be reviewed and considered by the Sustainability Team to ensure the success of the campaign.
Staff and students are encouraged to join the conversation on sustainability and are invited to share their campaign ideas by filling in the online form.

The University's Sustainability Assemblies are just one way we’re embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals into everything we do. These events aim to encourage staff and students to share their ideas and take climate action whilst at the University (Sustainable Development Goal 13 – climate action).
