Sustainability Week schedule launched!

Sustainable Surrey is bringing back Sustainability Week for the third year in row!

All staff and students are invited to get involved with activities throughout the week, 16 March – 20 March 2026. Highlights include:

  • World Water Day showcase in the Rik Medlik Foyer (Tuesday 17 March, 11:00am – 3:00pm) – In preparation for the UN’s World Water Day, the University’s Sustainability Team and colleagues from across the University invite you to explore the latest research and projects in water.
  • Wildlife Pond Workshop at the Community Garden (Tuesday 17 March, 12:00pm – 2:00pm) – Join the Community Garden to build their very first wildlife pond. Find out more about the project, and learn about the importance of ponds to biodiversity. Limited spots available – sign up.
  • SDG pizza and discussion in MySurrey Hive (Thursday 19 March, 6:00pm-8:00pm) – Come join the Religious Life and Belief Team for a respectful and friendly discussion with pizza on the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. Limited space available – sign up.

Sustainability Week is just one way the University is embedding the UN sustainable development goals into everything it does. The activities held during Sustainability Week will cover all 17 SDGs, including SDG 13 - climate action.
