The University’s termly Sustainability Assembly took place on Monday 9 February 2026. Every year at least three assemblies take place, providing staff and students with a chance to hear about the University’s sustainability journey to date and also discuss ideas for improvement.

During the recent assembly, staff and students were invited to hear how the University’s sustainability team have been actioning sustainable ideas shared from October’s assembly.
Three key areas were covered: Operations, Education and Governance.

Our Sustainability Assemblies are just one way we’re embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals into everything we do. These events aim to encourage staff and students to share their ideas and take climate action whilst at the University (Sustainable Development Goal 13 – climate action).
