LGBT+ History Month 2025
LGBT+ History Month is celebrated every February in the UK and is a month-long annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans, and non-binary (LGBT+) history.

This February, take the time to learn, share, and celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community, at Surrey and beyond, and to promote understanding and acceptance for all people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Surrey’s Progress Pride Flag will fly over the Piazza throughout February. We are also delighted to share a diverse programme of events and activities, organised by University of Surrey staff and the Students’ Union, for all staff and students, including:
- A free comedy night with critically-acclaimed comedian James Barr
- A self-guided journey through Guildford's LGBTQIA+ history
- The launch of our latest student curator display in the Library - a collaboration between your Students' Union and LGBTQ Soc.
