With the winter break approaching, I wish you season’s greetings for the holiday period. Whether you are travelling home to family, visiting friends, staying in Guildford or on placement, I hope you are able to take time to recharge after a busy start to the academic year.
If you are on campus on Christmas Day, then I am pleased to invite you to a free lunch! Please secure your space in advance. Our catering and social spaces will be open across the winter break too, selling festive food and drink and giving you a place to meet with friends.

There will be some temporary changes to service availability over the winter break, including MySurrey Hive, the Library and the Centre for Wellbeing. Please visit MySurrey website for full details.
Our Campus Safety team will be here for you throughout the festive break, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

As we reach the close of another remarkable year at Surrey, I hope you take this well-deserved break to reflect on your accomplishments and look ahead to the New Year. If you have exams to prepare for, please know that we are here to support you. Look out for more information about revision and exam support in the New Year, but you can also browse our exam pages on MySurrey website in case you are looking for guidance in the meantime.
Best wishes for the festive season,
Kerry Matthews
